Vision: A vision is the reason of the occurrence of the organization or company. Simply, vision statement narrates why the organization is established. More over the vision is about why people are doing some kind of activities.

Mission: Mission is the set off activities that are being performed for getting the objectives of the organization. Mission statement describes what organizations have to do currently to support its vision.

Difference between Vision and Mission:



Ø  Vision is the ultimate goals and objectives of the organization supported by the mission.

Ø  Mission is a statement that describes the set of activities which are needed to perform for completing the current goals set by the administration and guided by the management.

Ø  Vision is the destination of the organization. Vision statement tells about where organization should be.

Ø  Mission is about how to reach the desired destination. What the organization have to do to get to the destination.

Ø  Vision statement inspires the employees and the people for contributing to achieve the success.

Ø  Mission statement is the platform or guideline for the people or employees to work accordingly to get the success.

Ø  Vision helps the employees to understand why they are doing the task that are being performed.

Ø  Mission helps the employees to understand what they are actually doing.

Ø  Vision is all about the future of the company.

Ø  Mission is all about the present of the company.

Ø  Vision is life time ir long term ideas of the organization.

Ø  Mission has shorter period than the vision they can be changed on every stage.

Ø  Vision is the function of the high level administration of the organization and establishing authorities of the organization.

Ø  Mission is the function of the management, management is responsible for guiding the employees toward the mission of the organization  for achieving the objectives of the organization.

Ø  Vision is the fundamental thoughts of the organization which directs towards directions of the organization.

Ø  Mission supports the vision of the organization.
